 Ms. Carey is nationally board-certified acupuncturist and graduate of a prestigious Florida school of Traditional Chinese Medicine. She is one of a few American acupuncturists invited to attend an advanced clinical internship program at Zhejiang College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Hang Zhou China. Through this internship she received intensive practical application study of needling techniques as well as Chinese herbal protocol from some of China's most prestigious doctors. Originally from New Hampshire, Jennifer suffered a difficult winter accident as a teenager. She was left with constant pain from which western medicine was able to provide only temporary relief. After attempting many different alternative therapies over the years, acupuncture was the only modality that effectively relieved her pain. From this seemingly miraculous first-hand experience and with the encouragement of a college professor, she chose to pursue a career in Traditional Chinese Medicine. As a primary care physician in Florida, Jennifer has a strong interest in women's health issues. She creates a personal rapport with each patient, spending time to ensure that her individualized treatment strategy offers the highest level of care. Jennifer strives to continuously expand her healing knowledge and techniques by consistently researching the most current TCM approaches to a variety of illnesses. Ms. Carey believes that Traditional Chinese Medicine is complementary medicine that works very effectively with western medicine. She encourages her patients to have their MDs become part of the treatment dialogue. Utilizing all of the modalities at her disposal, Jennifer's goal is long-term wellness and balance for each and every patient.
