Erin Gray, LMT, LMHC
Licensed Massage Therapist, Licensed Mental Health Counselor (MH7524, MA46730, MM16588)
Erin & Benna
Erin’s ten-plus years of experience in the mental health field includes working with people with chronic mental illness, addictions, teen pregnancy / parenting, and Hospice. She has facilitated individual, couples, family, and group therapy sessions. In addition to a broad background in mental health, she has provided massage therapy in chiropractic offices and private holistic healthcare practices. She instructed massage therapy at Bhakti Academe School of Intuitive Massage and Healing as well as facilitated workshops in Bhakti Energy Work, The Wounded Healer Archetype, and The Divine Feminine.
Currently, Erin uniquely combines both modalities as Psychotherapeutic Bodywork. This approach evolved over a period of several years of practice as she worked with students and clients. She found that healing was facilitated much more quickly and easily when addressing mental, emotional, and physical components at the same time.
Another contributing factor to the development of her style, Erin has had three mentors who have been dually licensed practitioners. An early mentor directed her to Eckerd College where she majored in Human Development and studied with Professor Tom West, a Psychologist and Rolfer. Years and much experience later, Erin attended Bhakti Academe and was influenced by the owner and primary instructor, Dale McNitt, RN, LCSW, LMT. In part through all of their mentorship and example, Erin has become the practitioner she is today.
Approaching a person holistically has become the hallmark of Erin’s work. She believes deeply in the unity of body / mind and that it is simply not enough to treat symptoms. Her goal in treatment is to assist people in accessing root causes and to partner with them in their healing process. She is available for Psychotherapeutic Bodywork and Bhakti massage.
