American Ginseng
Price: $23.00
Quantity in Basket: none
American Ginseng Capsules: (Xi Yang Shen)

Capsules are concentrated at a 5 to 1 ratio. Each capsule contains 275mg of concentrate or the equivelant of 1,375 mg of American Ginseng.

There are three main types of ginseng, Panax ginseng (which can be either red or white and is also called Chinese ginseng) American ginseng, and Siberian ginseng.

Chinese Red Ginseng is the hottest of the three (energetically), as it can be very stimulating. It is most often given to men but can be used for women as well. It can be used for extreme fatigue with a feeling of cold, shortness of breath or a loss of sexual funtion or libido. It generally is not used long term and should be stopped if insomnia, increased thirst, irritability or increased blood pressure occurs.

White ginseng is the same as red ginseng, but it has not been steamed and is usually not as old of a root. It can be used longer term and can be a good digestive aid.

American ginseng (Xi Yang Shen)is more often used for women and can be very effective in helping with the symptoms of menopause. It can be used long term.

Siberian Ginseng (Ci Wu Jia) is not a ginseng but has similar properties it is actually Eleutherococcus Senticosus or "Eleuthro" for short. Eleuthro is another powerful adaptogen that is often used for symptoms from diabetes, stress and fatigue.

Each of these ginsengs are adaptogens with similar functions, but each is considered to be a different energetic temperture from hottest to coolest; Red, White, Eleuthro, then American.
